ALL FALL DOWN in Gloucester Park 25 July

Gloucester based dance production company, GDance, is geeing up to share its first show featuring a live horse with audiences on Carnival day this Saturday 25 July.

Audiences can enjoy this half-hour, free show called All Fall Down in Gloucester Park at 2.30pm or 5pm.

All Fall Down is inspired by the positive impact of Equine Therapy on veterans.  It explores the challenges we face in recovery or rebuilding our lives after injury, trauma or just a fall!

Artistic Director Helen Crocker has brought together an inspiring team of professionals, community performers and the stunning performing horse ‘Vigilante’ and his trainer from Barehoof Performance near Stroud.

Audiences will witness the journey of professional dancer and choreographer Marie-Louise Flexen (from Cirencester) as her character comes up against obstacles, ‘falls down’, and has to ‘pick herself up again’.

Her four-legged dancing partner, trained by award-winning Melanie Fauske of Barehoof Performance, responds to her movements and situations.

The protagonists are joined by stunning professional wheelchair dancer Suzie Birchwood, local talent Shaquille Douglas (a rap artist from Gloucester) and Freddie Perrins (a singer from near Stroud), as well as GDance’s company of disabled and non-disabled community dancers called VIA.

GDance will be rehearsing in Gloucester Park all week, no doubt attracting some curiosity from the dog walkers!

They welcome feedback on the show as it’s a ‘pilot’ production, researched and developed thanks to funds from Arts Council England and Esmee Fairbairn Foundation.  GDance aims to find investors and partners to help build All Fall Down into a bigger production in 2016.
